Zoosiab "Happy Program"Works to improve the mental health needs of Hmong elders, 50 years of age or older, with significant consideration for the Hmong culture and traditions. To help individuals recover from mental illness and those who are at increased risk of mental illness, the program utilizes both Western treatment methods and traditional cultural practices and understanding to support the individuals, particularly with trauma, stress, anxiety, isolation, stigmatization, and depression. |
Koomtes Youth Program (KYP)Provides a safe space for youths ages 12 - 24 emphasizing on SMAC. Substance use disorder prevention, Mental health awareness, Advocacy and Cultural preservation.
KYP strives to empower Asian youths through mentorship, advocacy, and culturally rooted support. We are dedicated to fostering mental health well-being, addressing substance use disorder, and building leadership skills, while preserving and celebrating cultural heritage. We strive to create a safe and nurturing environment that honors identity, promotes resilience, and equips our youth to thrive in all aspects of their lives. |
Npaj Tsevneeg, Family PlanningTo enhance the quality of life for the Hmong community by promoting reproductive health and access to family planning services.
Providing culturally competent reproductive health prevention education to individuals and families. Txhawb tsev Hmoob kom muaj lub neej zoo los ntawm kev txhawb nqa txog kev npaj tsevneeg. Promotores, Txhawb Uses strengths based approach to empower families when delivering services. Promotores holds weekly educational support groups that focus on prevention and early intervention. Families are fully engaged through case management and resource referrals.

Hmong Talk-Line
A warm-line designed to provide peer support for any Hmong community members who are going through the recovery process of mental illness. Support for families offerred via telephone and in person.

Immigration - Refugee Mental Health Advocacy
Immigrants and Refugees Stakeholder Advocacy (IMM-REF) is funded through the Mental Health Services Oversight & Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) to provide local-level advocacy, training and education, and outreach and engagement to the Southeast Asian Immigrants and Refugees in Butte and Shasta Counties regarding mental health.
